Special Intervention Unit (SIU)

The Special Intervention Unit is the tactical response force of the GPF, trained to handle high-risk operations including hostage situations, armed confrontations, and public order emergencies. SIU officers undergo rigorous physical and tactical training and are equipped with specialised tools and equipment.

Canine (K9) Unit

The Canine Unit deploys trained police dogs to assist in search-and-rescue operations, narcotics detection, explosive detection, tracking suspects, and crowd control. K9 handlers and their animals form highly effective partnerships that significantly enhance law enforcement capabilities.
