Available Positions
The Gambia Police Force periodically recruits new constables, civilian staff, and specialised officers. Recruitment exercises are announced officially through national newspapers, radio, and this website.
General Requirements for Constable Recruitment
- Gambian citizen by birth or descent
- Age between 18 and 25 years at time of application
- Minimum of Grade 9 (GABECE) or WASSCE certificate
- Height: Minimum 5ft 5in (male) / 5ft 3in (female)
- Physically and medically fit
- Good moral character with no criminal record
- Ability to swim is an added advantage
